Assembly Shift Team Leader (FTC)

Your Role:

We are looking for an Assembly Shift Team Leader to join our tambour door production team working 30 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 5pm to 11pm and Friday 1pm to 7pm, on an initial 3 month fixed term contract supervising a team of Assembly Operatives.
Responsibilities include: 

• Supervising employees working on the assembly line, providing clear instructions and constructive feedback where neccessary to ensure production timescales are met and quality standards are adhered to;
• Provide detailed instructions and guidance to ensure the shift runs effeciently, monitoring for any potential disruptions and trouble shooting, to ensure they are dealt with promptly;
• Coaching new or less experienced colleagues to ensure they can perform their role and adhere to the agreed processes and procedures;
• Provide insight and suggestions to the Site Manager on how to improve the process to ensure peak productivity and efficiency;
• The successful candidate will also have key holding responsibility. 

Your Profile:

• Previous experience in light production and hands on assembly work;
• Previous experience fabrication would also be desirable;
• Able to lead with empathy and in an approachable manner;
• The ability to understand and deliver instructions, and further training where neccessary;
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment;
• Ability to work on one’s own initiative and take ownership for production whilst on shift with a basic understanding of production flow with a quality focused mindset;
• Good knowledge of manufacturing safety protocols and regulations;
• CNC experience is desirable;
• A forklift licence would be an advantage, but not essential;
• A solid understanding of production machinery and proper assembly procedures would be an advantage, but not essential;
• An ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics would be an advantage, but not essential.
