Category Manager (m/f/d)

at our location Erlangen   | as soon as possible   | fulltime   | permanent position 

 

Your Tasks:

  • You will be responsible for the strategic management and ongoing optimization of the material groups assigned to you (underfloor heating distribution systems), including risk management and regular category reporting.
  • You are responsible for checking production costs with our suppliers and can carry out cost calculations for a range of parts on your own responsibility.
  • You will be responsible for the further development and cross-functional coordination and implementation of material group and supplier strategies.
  • You will be responsible for the purchasing side of ongoing regional and global development projects in close cooperation with the internal product management, technology and sales departments.
  • You are responsible for the planning and implementation of cost-reducing and cost-optimizing measures and their implementation in coordination with the specialist departments.
  • You are responsible for the planning and implementation of contract and condition negotiations.
  • You keep an eye on the procurement markets and are actively looking for and implementing innovations.

Your Profile:

  • You have completed a degree or apprenticeship in a technical or commercial field.
  • You have already worked with underfloor heating distribution systems in purchasing, sales or production and are familiar with this field. 
  • You are characterized by your independent and self-reliant way of working as well as your open and communicative personality. 
  • Fluency in English and a good command of German round off your profile.
  • You are willing to travel occasionally at national and international level (approx. 10% of your work).
