Mechanical Multiskilled Engineer

Your Tasks:

• Maintenance & Repairs: Conduct both planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on a wide range of industrial machinery and automated systems;
  Fault Finding: Quickly diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical faults to implement permanent solutions and prevent recurrence;
• Installation & Commissioning: Assist with the installation, testing, and commissioning of new plant machinery and equipment upgrades;
• Continuous Improvement: Work closely with the operations and production teams to identify equipment inefficiencies, reliability issues, and opportunities for process improvement;
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work, spare parts usage, and equipment inspections using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS);
• Compliance & Safety: Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental policies, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, risk assessments, and safe working practices. Maintain a clean, organised work area (5S standards) and report any near-misses or hazards immediately.

Your Profile:

Essential
Education & Training: Completed a recognized engineering apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds) or hold an HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline;
Experience: Proven experience working as a multiskilled, maintenance, or mechanical engineer within a fast-paced manufacturing, production, or heavy industrial setting;
Multiskilled Competency: Strong mechanical bias with a solid foundational working knowledge of electrical control panels, sensors, pneumatics, and hydraulics;
Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with modern maintenance management systems (CMMS) and automated production environments.
